Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced 2nd Pressman Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have offset press experience and operate the assigned press, ensuring that the quality of printed work is compliant with the clients' requirements. The person will direct the operations of the press, collaborating with all Departments involved in the manufacturing flow, ensuring the safety of each activity.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a 2nd Pressman Operator, you will:

• Reviews job order specs and instructions sheets.
• Gathers job order specification tools such as proofs, save sheets and LDSs.
• Installs and removes printing and coating blankets.
• Packs plate and blanket cylinders.
• Sets and adjusts double sheet detector, side guide, head stops and gripper fingers.
• Monitors foundation tank conductivity and offset powder supply. Install links in ink fountains and monitor ink supplies.
• Assists in evaluation of product quality. Completes wash-up of ink units at end of job orders.
• Changes and adjust rollers, changes inline coating supply, monitors the supply and distributions.
• Assists with preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Assist with training of Material Handler and/or Press Apprentice.

About You:

You're a fit for the role of 2nd Pressman Operator if your background includes:

• Minimum of 1 year experience operating multi-color offset, flexo or gravur printing press or serving as a 2nd Pressman on multi-color offset printing crew.
• Mitsubishi press experience is a plus.
• Experience with blanket charging, cylinder packing, press wash-up, fountain tank is preferred.
• Experience with paperboard, in-line coating, ultraviolet ink and handheld scanning densitometry is a plus.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations is required.
