We are seeking a reliable person that presents a positive attitude as well as excellent people and phone skills to join our Omaha Office as an Accounting Trainee - Farm Operations. The individual in this role will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and processing data from documents related our Farm Operations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process daily income and bills for managed farms including farm manager contact related to ticket processing.
  • Conduct daily, monthly and annual accounting reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Client contact related to account management.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates Degree or 4 years of work experience
  • 1 year of work experience with accounts payable/account receivable
  • Agricultural background helpful, but not required
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel and Word)
  • Knowledge of EnterpriseOne or other database environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 40 pounds
  • Occasionally (5%) travel within specified region to attend company/industry functions as required
