NG Advantage is an innovative energy company that is looking for candidates eager to become a well-rounded natural gas maintenance technician in an industrial setting. The Maintenance Apprentice is an entry-level position with great opportunities to learn and grow your skills. This position is based at our Pembroke, New Hampshire compression facility. Technicians support our operations and clients by ensuring that equipment at our Pembroke, New Hampshire compression station and our customer sites is operating effectively and efficiently on a 24/7 basis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Hands-on maintenance of a high-pressure natural gas compression station, off-loading stations, transportation trailers and related equipment
- Position requires after-hours and on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis once fully trained
- Regional travel (within several hours drive) in company vehicle required
Qualifications
- Ideal for anyone with mechanical aptitude to include professional and hobby auto mechanics, facilities technicians, boiler technicians and those willing to learn
- Able to grasp and retain concepts of natural gas compression/injection, trailer maintenance and customer site operations after OJT
- At least one year experience showing strong mechanical skills and knowledge
- A proven track record of punctuality and dependability, and the ability to work independently
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and mechanical drawings, wiring, and control diagrams.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
