Job Description

The Rocket City Trash Pandas are seeking a Promotions and Community Relations intern to join the most meteoric team in Minor League Baseball and help create the best fan experience in the sport for the 2025 season!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of the Trash Pandas kids club (promotion, registration, fulfillment of membership benefits, monthly newsletter)
  • Assist in fulfilling all donation requests in a timely manner and update donation inventory
  • Assist in scheduling for ballpark tours
  • Oversee the Community Relations table for all home games for the 2025 season
  • Assist with in-game auctions and fundraisers benefitting the Trash Pandas Foundation
  • Assist in coordinating youth baseball camps
  • Be a flexible team player ready to wear many different hats
  • Be available as a mascot handler/mascot for games and community events
  • Assist in scheduling and preparing pre and post-game promotions
  • Creation of new and entertaining content for on-field promotions
  • Assist in planning theme nights as well as participating in theme nights as needed (costumes, dcor, giveaways, etc.)
  • Interacting with fans and finding contestants for on-field promotions
  • Assisting in the preparation and execution of games to be performed in between innings
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work flexible and demanding hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to take initiative with projects and events
  • Have exceptional customer service and be a committed team player
  • Willingness to wear a mascot costume if necessary
